Organizations across the Commonwealth are working hard to help their neighbors and communities during this extraordinary crisis, and AT&T is supporting their work.

Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (www.centralpafoodbank.org): $10,000 to help the Central PA Foodbank and its network of partner agencies continue to meet the dramatic and escalated need for feeding vulnerable populations throughout its 27 central Pennsylvania county service territory.
Pennsylvania Fire and Emergency Services Institute (www.pfesi.org): $5,000 to help this Harrisburg-based organization raise awareness about the importance of Pennsylvania’s volunteer firefighters and emergency services personnel.
Share Food Program of Philadelphia (www.sharefoodprogram.org): $35,000 for this regional network of community organizations engaged in food distribution, education, and advocacy. Share Food Program is working with city officials to support dozens of public food locations throughout the city.
Philadelphia 2nd Alarmers Association: $15,000 to this 99-year old, all-volunteer organization that serves and supports emergency responders in the city. The contribution will support the acquisition and delivery of protective masks to police and fire personnel, which took place on April 16.
“When an emergency happens quickly, it usually brings out the best in people. Our shout out goes out to AT&T for providing a contribution which enabled the Philadelphia Second Alarmers to purchase 20,000 PPE masks that were used to bolster the arsenal of equipment in both departments to help keep the first responders safe. We salute AT&T for becoming that Angel on our Shoulders during COVID-19 in 2020,” said Chief Greg Masi, Philadelphia Second Alarmers.
Helping Harvest Reading, PA (www.helpingharvest.org): $5,000 to this organization to help residents in Berks County who are facing unprecedented challenges. Helping Harvest is continuously adapting its work to respond to the drastically increased need for food in the community while operating in the safest manner possible to prevent the spread of the virus.
Northeastern Pennsylvania and Lehigh Valley
Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast PA (www.shfblv.org): $10,000 will support food distribution in the agency’s six-county service territory.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership in helping us end hunger and battle food insecurity within our community,” said Katarah Jordan, Director of Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania.
Foundation 58 (www.58cares.org/covid-19, www.foundation58.org): $5,000 will help the organization provide wipes, sanitizer, apparatus cleaner and protective masks for first responders in the Hazleton area.
412 Food Rescue (www.412foodrescue.org): $10,000 will support food delivery to school children at their usual bus stops with appropriate safety protocols in place.
East End Co-Operative Ministry (www.eecm.org): $5,000 to help EECOM meet explosive demand for meals and continued shelter for homeless in the Pittsburgh area.
Allies for Children (www.alliesforchildren.org ): $5,000 to support a community wide initiative to close the digital divide in Pittsburgh.
The contributions are part of a nationwide commitment by AT&T to provide much needed support for first responders, medical personnel and others impacted by COVID-19. The effort kicked off with a $1.5 million contribution to World Central Kitchen. We’re also supporting Feeding America, the Salvation Army and Team Rubicon.
