Sneak Peek at the Co-CREATORS 2018 Projects: Kelly Sanders

In continuation of our Sneak Peek series, where we give you the first look at some of our 2018 Co-CREATORS and their projects, we spoke with Kelly Sanders of toomanysparkles and love, Pittsburgh. First, a little background on Kelly: [caption id="attachment_3524" align="alignleft" width="218"]Kelly Sanders, Co-CREATOR 2018 Kelly Sanders, Co-CREATOR 2018[/caption] She spent 20 years in New York City and San Francisco, living out the dream of many -- to work in design and travel the world for big names like Victoria’s Secret and American Eagle. Later, Kelly started toomanysparkles, a line of notebooks, cards, and art made from upcycled fabric. Finally she opened a gift store with her partner and Co-CREATE alum, Monica Yope, called love, Pittsburgh. For this year’s CREATE! Festival, Kelly is continuing her work on locally made notebooks, based off her toomanysparkles product. She is partnering with Print Tech’s Eric Pursh to develop a curated line of small to medium sized notebooks. One of her designs was actually inspired by fellow Co-CREATOR, Byron Nash and his experience bartending. “I plan to have both my upcycled fabric notebooks and the new printed line available at the Create! Festival,” says Kelly. “They will also be available exclusively at love, Pittsburgh.” In other exciting news, love, Pittsburgh is opening another location in downtown, Pittsburgh. The Grand Opening is May 4th at 11am. To stay up-to-date on all things CREATE, visit our blog, and mark the event in your calendar for June 6-7 at the August Wilson Center.
