Sneak Peek at the CREATE! 2018 Projects: Byron Nash
Although summer might feel distant, the 2018 CREATE! Fest is fast approaching. June 6-7 will be here before you know it, so you better believe that your Co-CREATORS are putting in long hours of thought and hard work to prepare their final projects. Byron Nash, musician and entrepreneur, took a minute to describe what he has planned for the festival.“What I am working on for CREATE! is part spoken word and part musical performance,” he says. The hope is to inspire his listeners with a speech and finish off by putting his musical talent on display. He also intends to include a visual aspect to the performance by playing video content in the background.He is collaborating with videographer Darin DiNapoli who is currently filming a documentary about Byron’s life and musical ambitions. The documentary uses Byron’s original music and shows a 360° view of him creating music all around the city of Pittsburgh.Ultimately, Byron’s project reflects his goals -- to gain the skills, experience, and connections to build a “fully legit” production business that helps to place his music in movies, commercials, and other videos. He says, “As an artist, you no longer have to beg and plead for a record label to help you become successful.
