A2U just Acquired by National IT Services Company

A2U, one of Pittsburgh's fastest growing service providers, has just been acquired by a national IT services company: FutureTech Holding. "Adding to the bigger trend narrative around Pittsburgh's booming tech sector,  there have been a string of strong exits for local companies- and now we are one of them."  -Bridgette Borst Ombres

So, what does this mean?

According to CEO Dan Dillman, here's what this means:
  • A2U is going to stay in Pittsburgh and still be headed up locally by Dillman, Pittsburgh native and founder. Also, recently named a winner of the CEO of the Year Award.
  • This means outside capital and corporate investment.
  • More backing that allows A2U to meet our 5x growth goal and positions them to expand their list of IT services. One added service includes robotics automation.
  • Adding more expertise to their toolbox to be able to offer customers (most of whom, are in Pittsburgh) and other companies locally more technology services that  couldn't be offered to them before now.
This exciting news comes on the heels of A2U being named one of the top 20 Citrix solutions providers in the nation and being named to CRN's Next Gen 250 List. Between 2014 and 2016, A2U grew nearly 200 percent in sales. "Our CEO has been quoted often that he wants to expand to five times our current size within the next five years." -Bridgette Borst Ombres A2U celebrated 15 years in business this year.  "Now, we're going back to have a national presence," states Bridgette. Another example of Pittsburgh's being an incubator for startups. This adds to the drumbeat around fueling Pittsburgh resurgence. "It's a really exciting time for us because this means outside capital and investment that allows us to not only continue growing in Pittsburgh, but to expand nationally."- Bridgette Borst Ombres
