Mike Artim, President & CEO, Cambria County Chamber of Commerce

Connecting businesses with opportunities and resources for regional growth is a key initiative for the Chamber and we believe the Bridge to Pittsburgh has unlimited potential for organizations on both sides of the bridge.

We thank the Pittsburgh business leaders who joined us at the Destination Cambria kick-off event on June 7 in Johnstown.  We enjoyed having you as our guest and hope that you got a glimpse of what our region is capable of in terms of technology, manufacturing, resources and workforce, along with a sense of our collaborative nature.

We believe there are three main areas that present opportunity:

Higher Education/Talent – With three universities and colleges, along with a technical school and a community college, we have a pipeline of young talent that could meet the demand for any industry.

Innovation – With a robust defense industry, health care organizations integrated with national organizations, state-of-the-art manufacturing and a rapidly expanding IT sector, we have the tools to innovate and compete.

Cost-effective Space (office/manufacturing) – Our region has multiple opportunities for development, from move-in ready, to renovations, to new construction, we have space for every budget.

By integrating our talent, organizations and available space with the opportunities and needs of those organizations in Pittsburgh, we can create partnerships that will move our region forward, and that is the goal of the Bridge to Pittsburgh project.
